各位英语达人，跪求英语作文一篇！

题目是Do you agree or disgree with the following statement? Today there are so many sources of information that it is difficult to know whom to believe or who is telling the truth. 是英语课演讲的题目，能讲满3分钟的长度就OK了！谢谢各位达人！有好的还会追加悬赏分的！

It is simply not possible in most cases to know everything that is 'true' about a situation. We all know how photographs taken from different angles can be interpreted differently. We all know that 'eye witness' accounts vary dramatically from person to person.

Everything a human sees (hears, feels, whatever) is through a mind-boggling mass of personal and cultural filters.

Just living here and being able to see news from the BBC, Al Jazeera, CNN about the same events and seeing what is presented, or omitted, or - my big bugbear - the handy dandy co-locations of words eg 'rogue state' or 'property ladder' and certain other word-pairings conveying total different 'truths' which I won't mention because I don't do politics in public, subtley moulding your mind without you even knowing it - you know that knowing the real truth is totally impossible.

I think as an individual you need to be aware of your own prejudices, your own filters -

Part of the whole LOA thing is that once you become aware of something you notice it all around you like - say - Elephants. Tell yourself you want to manifest Elephants this week and, assuming you don't live in India or Kenya, you will start seeing Elephants everywhere - on stationery, tea-towels, toys, whatever!

I bet you will notice loads more news stories about elephants this week thanks to me and you will be thinking 'what's up with elephants these days they're always in the news' and it will seem like truth to you - that suddenly elephants are out there creating news mayhem when they're not.

Sorry all that rambling was meant to illustrate how a particular filter can make things loom large in the news that arent' really. (unintended semi-joke there - large, elephants haha).

Agree totally with Coolbee. Just been reading "Bad Sceience" by Ben Goldacre. He talks a lot about Homeopathy for example. Clearly there is no actually evidence for Homeopathy other than people saying "well it worked for me and it worked for him/her/them/ so it must be true".

When people really accept these subjective arguments as true it can muddy the waters. I'm not saying they're wrong but if you state something as fact you should say whether this is subjective fact or scientific fact (and by scientific fact I mean real science!)

It's hard for humans to remove their beliefs when analyzing sources of information and that leaves lots of room for confirmation bias. None of us are as open-minded or critical as we should be. -myself included as I have not backed up that last sentence with anything other than my opinion!
