These scientists are worried about global warming . Global warming could cause the ice at the North and South Poles to melt , raising the level of the oceans . Global warming could also cause climate patterns to change , bringing us many natural disasters .
Scientists think global warming is caused by the greenhouse effect . With the greenhouse effect,certain gases , in particular carbon dioxide , keep a lot of heat on Earth . This makes Earth warmer .
