The suggested design procedure is implemented for symmetrical waveguide filters with cross couplings in the E-plane. As an example a retailed description for a 4th order cross-coupled filter with cross coupling between the 1st and 4th cavity,as shown in Fig.1,will be given.Only slight modifications are necessary for higher order filters with more than cross coupling. The present procedure uses a combination of a circuit model analysis and a full-wave method,where the circuit model acts as a reference.
