第二、学习动机加强。在传统模式中,教师评价学习者通常采用的是终结性评价(考试测验等),并只关注结果(分数)而不顾学习者的付出。任务型教学的评价,学习者的分数不是唯一的也不是主要的评价依据,主要的依据是观察、问卷调查、建立学习档案、学习者自评和互评,以及老师口头评价等多种方式,即形成性评价。在形成性评价中,重点关注学习者的学习过程和学习感受,解题能力及合作能力的培养、自身语言技能的运用以及健康人格的发展。形成性评价能消除终结性评价带来的负面影响,让学习者在学习过程中获得自我满足的同时也激发了学习兴趣与动机。
第三、教学以学习者为中心。传统教学中总是以教师为主体,学习者只能被动的接受教师所授知识。而在任务型教学中,淡化了教师主体的地位,强化了学习者的主体地位。教师在教学中只需将英语的知识与技能结合,精心组织学习者在完成任务中使用。教师在此过程中只是担当一个活动的监督者、协助者、评价者等角色。
