说到人力资源管理,就不能不提管理学大师彼得•德鲁克(Peter Drucker)。一般都认为,人力资源的概念是德鲁克最早进行较为系统的阐述的。在其1954年出版的经典著作《管理的实践》(The Practice of Management)一书中,在论述管理的职能——管理员工及其工作时,德鲁克提到人力资源的概念:人力资源具有其他资源没有的素质(quality),即协调能力、融合(integrate)能力、判断力和想象力。他认为,所谓企业管理本质上就是人力资源管理。

I think it’s the work force and the company’s inability to recruit and maintain a good work force that does constitute the bottleneck for of production. I don’t know of any major project backed by good ideas, vigor, and enthusiasm that has been stopped by a shortage cash. I do know of industries whose growth has been partly stopped or hampered because they can’t maintain an efficient and enthusiasm labor force, and I think this will hold true even more in the future

多年以来资本一直被扮李键认为是发展中公司企业的瓶颈。我认为这不会一直不变。我认为是劳动力问题。公司企业都不扰姿能吸收以及保有素质好的劳动力。着才是导致生产瓶颈的原因。我从没有听过有任何一个有着好的思想,能力以及热情的大公司因为资金短缺而停业的。但我却知道一些公司因为不能保有具有效率和热情劳动力的缘故厅巧而停滞不前的,这在将来也将更适用。
