Views vary drastically between the author and the lecturer on whether the “Let it burn” policy is feasible or not. Each party has their own opinions and convincing reasons.

To begin with, the author believes that “Let it burn” policy will allow the tremendous damage caused by the long time fire occur. The plants will be the first victim for the reason that acres of land will be scorched. In the contrast, the lecturer points out that the policy offers the opportunity for vegetation to recreate. The plants will be more diverse and some types of plants which didn’t have chance to grow before will exist in on the land.

Second, the author insists that a big amount of wildlife will be affected during the fire. For instance, the forest fires in Yellowstone in 1988 destruct the habitat of a lot of animals, especially large animals were fleeing the fire. On the other hand, doubt is cast by the lecturer who claims that the fire is also an opportunity for animals like rabbits and hares to grow in the open area. And when their population gets bigger, the predators will have adequate preys for surviving. This really contributes to making the food chain stronger.

What’s more, the author maintains the tourism attraction of Yellowstone Park will decrease as the fire destroys a large area of it which in turn has negative consequences for the local economy. Whereas, the lecturer believes that this problem is not so serious. For example, the fires in Yellowstone are only a coincidence caused by the combination of low rainfall and strong wind. It hasn’t happened again since then and people go to visit the park the next year and every year after.

我现在托福作文就是不知道哪个方向是正确的，暑假学的时候老师说多写长句，然后我让别人改我的作文，他们都说复杂的句子太多了（主要是独立写作）。最好也能给我一点独立写作的建议。

嘛 你综合写作第一篇我也post了答案不过没有帮你看作文... 因为觉得综合写作还是经验重要 并且乃的作文的确已经不错了...... （不过我开头段是分别总结了阅读和写作的论点的... 乃的第一段看起来模板气有点重...）

个人觉得相比教育独立写作、综合写作更注重的是一个人的总结能力... 如果你能把很复杂的句子用对的话肯定会加分的~ 主要是不要犯错就好~ 我怕出错就大都用的简单句... 所以综合写作很重要的一点就是信息量、综合写作用模板还是蛮简单的所以作文中越多的细节越好、字数也蛮王道的、在综合写作里展现的是你各种综合的水平、我一战的那篇写了300+的词呢... 把记下来的笔记什么的都打进去了、最后还留下时间检查了一遍typo什么的 所以打字快一点还是蛮占便宜的~~

最后独立写作：我是三个分论点都有具体的事例支持 并不是背的什么伟人事例就是举得身边的例子、把细节（比如说提到一个人写出来名字）要写好、如果三个论点段都有很具体的例子的话其实字数就刷刷刷上去了~最后我是500+词收的尾...

你要是改托福作文，有条件的话，可以直接到新东方51批改网修改，都是外教改的，如果没有就自己尝试修改，常言道文章不厌百回改，自己如果被感动了，肯定文章就不错啦，除非是芙蓉姐姐。还可以请一块玩的朋友看，把他们感动的一塌糊涂就绝对成功了。根据写作的内容找不同层次的人看，这点你可以多学学白居易。
