Recently,more and more students use electronic dictionary rather than papery dictionary when they need to look up words.
The biggest advantage of using electronic dictionary is convenience.Also,they can provide us with the exact pronunciation of the words.Besides,they also provide many other functions.For example,they can be used as calculator,which makes us save money from buying another one.
But,needless to say,the disadvantages can be easily found.Obviously,like other electronic equipments,they are harmful to our eyes.What`s more,they have bad influence in protecting our environment.
Therefore,we should insist on using papery dictionary to protect our environment as well as our healths.

Nowadays more and more students prefer electronic dictionaries in their language learning. Generally, an e-dictionary has many advantages. First, it is more convenient and faster. Besides, with an e-dictionary the word can be accompanied with its pronunciation. Thirdly, an e-dictionary usually has other functions, for example, it may be used as a calculator.
But every coin has two sides. One disadvantage is that it will do more harm to our eyes. To make matters worse, e-dictionaries mean more pollution than paper dictionaries.
In my opinion, students should stick to the paper dictionary, which is more environmentfriendly and less harmful to our health.

At the moment, seeing someone using the electronic dictionary is not a special case anymore; rather, it is hard to believe though, the number of people using the traditional dictionary has drop dramatically in recent 18 years.

There are few factors which made the electronic dictionary extremely popularized. First of all, its handiness or convenience has already been irreplaceable that you can imagine yourself carrying an encyclopedia in your pocket. Secondly, voice recognizing system makes the electrical dictionary more functional even which offers you better practice opportunity. Lastly, many alternative applications could be installed on the it, such as calculator, calendar, and games which are pretty practical. Even though, however, there are still many disadvantages under the light of its popularity.

Since the electronic dictionary has more functions than the traditional one, people may spend more time on it doing something else rather than checking the words out. Moreover, a more astonishing fact is that electronic dictionary actually brings more harm to our environment than making a traditional one; such as the battery usage.

In conclusion, both for the reason of keeping our own health and bring less harm to the environment, the traditional dictionary is strongly recommended.
