　　他这样写着：这里几乎是一个封闭的信息孤岛，不通公路，不通电话，晚上只能点灯照明，寄一封信也要在周末跑上18公里崎岖的山路，层层高山，堵堵绿墙，条条江河，阻隔了村内外文明的渗透，这里匮乏人才，所以才如此贫穷，落后。徐本禹在支教半年后回到母校开讲座时，说出了心中的苦，没有电和信日子，我很孤独，很寂寞，内心十分痛苦，有几次在深夜醒来，泪水打湿了枕头，我快坚持不住了，要是当初我能逃过孩子们渴求知识，渴望上学的眼神，我现在已经在攻研了，但始终我还是逃不过。是啊，躲闪在树桩前，门槛后，照片上孩子充满欲望与追求的眼神，有一股强大的穿透力，能把你的心都看碎！最后，徐本禹在日记上写着：我愿做一滴水，我知道我很渺小，但我坚信只要有千滴万滴的水就能汇成一条爱的河流。他就是这样在一片贫瘠的土地上，勤耕耘，贡献着自己的力量，到了祖国最需要的地方。
