2Because he had not filled out the forms carefully (这个是答案）
为什么不能直接选原句？？答案为什么要用完成时？

B：
Gothic architecture is a style of (architecture,associated particularly)with cathedrals and other churches,that flourished in Europe during the Middle Ages.
也是有两个选项
1：architecture,associated particularly 原句
2：architecture:in particular associated 答案
associated with 不是动词词组吗？跟被动有关？可是我怎么也看不出被动唉。。

答：1. 原括号中的不是句子，是非谓语动词短语，作状语。谓语有主语，非谓语有逻辑主语，与主句的主语相同时可省略，否则要在前面出现（叫独立主格）不然会引起误会或不解。
本句主语为a two-week delay,显然不会发出fill out这个动作
2.答案用了一个原因状语从句，从句时态用过去完成时，表示fill out the forms这个动作发生在前，并对后来产生的影响。
如果这个填表之人是汤姆的话，也可用独立主格结构：
Tom not having filled out the forms carefully, 作用和效果与Because从句同。

答：注意标点、状语位置及断句。注意最后的that-从句实为限制性定语从句。所谓的答案是错的。原句是正确的。去掉两逗号之间的这个插入语，原主句为：Gothic architecture is a style of architecture that flourished in Europe during the Middle Ages. 译：哥特式建筑是中世纪欧洲盛行的一种建筑风格。逗号之间为过去分词短语作非限制性定语（或理解成状语，表示情况说明：特别地与大教堂或其它教堂相关联)
你说的答案项中in particular=particularly,位置不当不是主要问题，关键在前面的这个冒号：有了这个冒号，说明前句已经完整（事实上 Gothic architecture is a style of architecture. 句子无意义，如同“松树是一种树”一样的无意义）
冒号后应该是一个完整的句子。显然不是。
评：楼主是无意还是故意，无心还是有心？原题句中根本没有冒号，相近的干扰项C项的分词也与你的“答案”不同：

是在考答题者的真实水平吗？是谁改的题？请楼主回答。

A: 括号内部分是伴随状语，所以其主语与主句保持一致，按照原句的表达，就是说“there"是主语，但实际上应该是“he"作主语，所以原句错误。
答案用了过去完成时，以为not fill out the form这个动作发生在there was a delay之前，且后半句用的是过去式，所以前半句只能用过去完成时。

B：原句和答案的一个不同不同之处是标点符号，一个是“，”一个是“：”，此题考察点实际和A相似，都是主语的问题。此题想表达的是“a style of architecture is associated particularly with……”，而原句表达的则是“the Gothic architecture is associated with",故原句错误；

另，associate with的确是动词词组，但是在此处是说“a style of architecture is associated with cathedrals……，用的是被动，省去了be动词。

第一个是主语不一致，前后的注意不一样。
第二题是固定用法，associate 在这里被动做形容词，而却 architecture 不能发出associate 这个动作

A. 如果用Not filling out the forms carefully ， 后面句子主语要与这个短句主语一样。
后面用didn't fill out 理论也是可以的，但是完成时和过去式的区别是完成时对现在造成影响
