Greetings everyone, my name is XX. I'm a fairly quiet person, and might give off a feeling of being reserved at first. However, it's partially due to this nature that I tend to take things more seriously and think before I act. My biggest hobby is reading, followed by badminton. Because I enjoy reading for fun, I tend to read a lot of Chinese books, especially novels. I believe that novels are the most lively and most filled with imagination. 有些地方必须采取意译，因为那样会比较恰当地道。

另外一点，英语里没有直接说 thanks teacher，good day teacher，之类的话。
所以像 “各位老师好” 这种话我就翻译成 Greetings, everyone. 那样比较好。

I am a quiet --, sometimes makes me a taciturn -- to the others. but it is also a character that makes me stable in deeling with certain things. to look before i leap is what i always do. my hobby is reading and badminton. as the result of reading according to the interest, most of the books i read is chinese novel, which makes me feel vivid and imaginative, and which helps me a lot on my chinese homework.

Dear panel of teachers, I am XX. I am a quiet person by nature. This leads others to think I am reserve person. However, it is this nature that I am able to handle issue calmly. 'Think before act' would best describe my virtue. My greatest interest is reading. I also play badminton. I read more of Chinese books of which majority are novels. I think novels are written like 'alive' and full of imagination. My good Chinese standard is gained from reading. I ever participated in a report presentation and essay competition. It was regretful that I have never win the champion, but that made me realized my 'short-fall'. Having a good inspiration but a lack of descriptive skill would never do a good job.
