5.3 ROTATION SAFETY SYSTEM
In order to avoid interfering with other of the jetty’s pieces of equipment, the
gangway shall include a rotation safety system.
This system is comprised of two end stops, one of which is installed in the lifting
cylinder and the other in the mobile aluminium stairs.
The lifting cylinder must be at its highest position and the sliding stairs must be
completely withdrawn for the gangway to rotate when the safety mechanism is
activated.
