Fresh vegetables in winter is not expensive.
我盼望母亲的消息
I look forward to the news of my mother
尽管变化很多，但传统的家庭模式仍然占主导地位
Despite many changes,the traditional family remains the dominant mode.

还有一句不会翻译；
我教她法文以换取她教我学英文.

1.Fresh vegetables is not expensive in winter.
2.I have been looking forward to the news of my mother.因为表达的是作者一直以来的期盼，用过去进行时表示一直在期盼，现在也是。
3.Thougu great chances have taken place ,the traditional family mode still remains its dominate position.这里的前句是使用完成时是为了表明变化的影响，而且在英语里，很多变化一般是指程度上的变化，因而用great.
4.I taught her French with the exchange of her teaching me English.
