This essay indicates that, nowadays the young worship the western fiest days but neglect our Chinese traditional festivals.

I believe that we are absorbing the essence of foreign cultures when we are celebrating western festivals, and this is acceptable. Yet we should eye on our own traditional festivals more as we should never put more emphasis western holidays than on our own traditional culture.

Thus, a decent perspective toward festivals should be cultivated and passed down to the people since their childhood, to teach them not to worship western culture blindly. It’s nothing more than an amusement or entertainment to celebrate western holidays, yet our own traditional culture is deeply rooted in our spirit, and it is truly belong to us Chinese people.

We can learn from this essay that many young people are following the western festivals but they ignore some of our Chinese ones.

I believe that celebrating western festivals is a good way to learn their culture which is acceptable. However, we should focus more on our traditional holidays. We should never put western holidays on the position which is higher than ourselves.

Therefore, we should form a right concept of festivals from childhood and not take western ones too seriously. Having western ones are only an entertainment but our traditional culture should be deep rooted. They blong to every Chinese.
