Everyone at work said they liked my new dress so l wore it for a TV show. When l arrived the producer gave me a strange look but said nothing.
Later that week l watched the show on my TV. As l sat there looking at myself on the TV screen, the telepone rang. lt was my old friend susan. Next time let me tell you what to wear. That dress makes you look old and boring. lt was true. For a moment l felt ashamed but then l felt better.
Next time l will ask susan and she will tell me the truth. Truly old friends are like wine; the older, the better.
