1。Besides Egyptians,people of Mexico also builded pyramids.They don't build the pyramids for tombs.They were used to build a pyramid and then build a temple on top of them.The pyramids of Mexico are not as high as that of Egypt,but they are big.Each pyramid has a wide stairway that go from the bottom to the top.The biggest pyramid in Mexico is almost 2000 year old.Scientists think it spent 10000 men more than ten years to build.On top of it they built a temple to worship the sun.The temple is no longer there and people call it pyramid of the sun.

2。Jack studied history,but in the end of his first year,the professor failed him on the examination.He had to leave from the college.However,his father asked the professor let him continue his studies.His father said,"If you let him to pass this exam,I'm sure he'll improve a lot the next year.""No,no,that is possible!"replied the professor,"Do you know,I asked him when Napoleon died,and he doesn't know?""Please give him other chance,"Jack's father said,"You see,we don't take any papers,so no of us even knew that Napoleon was ill recently"
