我是一名中国学生。对于中国的教育情况有着自己的看法。中国的教育注重知识的积累，看重分数。中国的学生作业很多，课外活动较少。中国的家长喜欢给孩子报大量的补习班，而中国的老师极为重视考试成绩，永远关注着升学。这和新加坡及西方国家的教育方法不大相同。西式的教育更为注重社会实践，给予学生较大的自由，学生也没有受到升学的压力。
但是我认为教育方式不仅仅有教育制度决定，更由国情、文化、思想等多方面组成，决不能因此而判断东西方教育孰优孰劣。我承认中国的教育方法使学生变得有些死板，变得思维僵硬，但是中国的学生勤奋，有目标，执着，这是我们的优势。在中国，想成为一名优秀的学生，同样需要有敏锐的思维，实践能力和社会责任感，在中国的国情之下，现行的教育制度虽需改进，但确有可行之处。所以，我不喜欢中国的媒体一味地赞扬西方的教育，我认为我们应该有自己的发展方向。而我之所以想去新加坡，是因为我认为我更适合那边的环境，同时也想尝试不同的教育方法对人的影响，我认为这对我大有好处。

I am a Chinese student.I have own view regarding of Chinese education.The education in China pays great attention to the accumulation of knowledge and regard score as important. Chinese student will spend much time on schoolwork, and spend less time on the extracurricular activity. Their parents like asking their child to spend their spare time on supplementary classes, and their teachers think the achievement of exam is very important and give more attention on enter a higher school. The method of eduction is different from Singapore and the West. The West pays more attention to the social practice, and gives the student more freedom, the student will not fell the pressure of entering a higher school.
But I believe that the mode of education is not only decided by educational system, but also decided by the national condition, the culture, the thought and so on., So we can't judge which one is better. I think that the student is work in a mechanical way and fossilized concept in Chinses education mode, but Chinese students are diligent, has the goal and ideologism, this is our superiority. In China,who wants to become an outstanding student must keep keen thought, practical ability and the social responsibilities, although the present educational system must improve under China's national condition, but it also feasible. Therefore, I do not like China's media praising West's education constantly, I thought that we should have our development direction. I want to go to Singapore because I thought that the environment in Singapore is more suitable for me to leaning, and I try to make an attempt on the influence in different education method, I thought that this is of great advantage to me.
