The Chinese economy will maintain a rapid and healthy growth rate in the coming years, creating enormous husifiess opportunities for the world economy, according to Zeng Peiyan, minister of the State Development Planning Commission on Thursday. “During the 10th Five-Year Plan period (2001—2005), we are capable of reaching a 7 per cent annual growth rate,” said Zeng at a special session on China at the ongoing Asia-Pa-cific Economi9 Cooperation CEO Summit 2001 meetings.
“In line with (与……相一致) this growth rate, the gross domestic product (GDP)will grow to 12.5 trillion yuan (US $ 1.51 trillion), and per capita GDP will reach 9400
