在激光出现以后,电光效应的研究和应用得到迅速的发展,在工程技术和科学研究中有许多这方面的重要应用。而在高强度电磁场下,任何电介质对光的响应都会变成非线性,光纤通信中的非线性效应既可能造成功率的损耗,也可能造成信号的畸变,是现代光纤通信中要解决的核心问题。
本文主要介绍电光效应以及非线性效应的原因和原理。共分为两部分,第一部分主要介绍晶体的电光效应,从晶体的折射率椭球去分析加电场后的折射率变化,并以泥酸锂晶体的电光效应为例进行了分析。第二部分为非线性效应,对电极化强度P与电场E的非线性关系的起因着重分析。

Altogether divides into two parts, the first part of main introduction crystal's electro-optical effect, analyzes adds the electric field the refractive index change after the crystal refractive index ellipsoid, and has carried on the analysis take the mud acid lithium crystal's electro-optical effect as the example. In this paper, as well as non-linear electro-optic effect on the causes and effects of principle. Is divided into two parts, the first part introduces the crystal electro-optic effect, the refractive index of crystal from the ellipsoid to increase electric field analysis of the refractive index change, and mud acid lithium crystal electro-optic effect was analyzed as an example. The second part is divided into nonlinear effects on the electrode of the electric field strength E P and the nonlinear relationship will focus on analyzing the causes.

After the laser appearing, the electro-optical effect's research and application, which play an important role in the project technology and scientific research, get a rapid development.However,in the filed of powerful electromagnetic, any dielectric medium to the light response will be the misalignment.The misalignment effect will not only reduce the efficiency but also cause the signal distortion, so it is the eccentric prolem we need to solve in the modern fiber optic communications.This thesis mainly introduces the electro-optical effect as well as non-linear effect reason and principle.This thesis is divided into two parts: the first part introduces the crystal's electro-optical effect and analyes the refractive index change after adding the electrical filed from the aspect of crystal refractive index, and take thetake the mud acid lithium crystal's electro-optical effect as an example to analy the effect. The second part introduces the non-linear effect. It mainly analyzes the causes of misalignment relations between electric polarization P and the electric field E.
