This article described a controls system of musical fountain in four aspects including system scheme, chip selection, circuit construction and software design. Using A/D converter to sampling and processing the audio, combined with IR human body sensor and supersonic sensor to control the water flow. Audio signal influences flashlights through the flashlight control module, which controls the system alter the color and the flow profile to follow the rhythm of different music. Tests show that the system is up to design demand both in function and techical specifications.

This paper designed a control system for musical fountain in the aspects of system-programming、chip-choosing、hardware-building and software-designing. Via the collecting and progressing by A/D translation chips, combined with infrared sensor modules and ultrasonic modules, we can eventually reach the methods of controling the flow of sprinkler head. And with the lantern-controling modules, both audio signals and light effect will be able to be controled thus making the color of lights and the form of fountain water change with the pace of music.
