激励原理是现代管理学的核心,是指激发人的动机使人有一股内在的动力朝着一定的目标行动的心理活动过程,或者说调动人的积极性的过程。激励原理在酒店业的应用就是要懂得如何为员工创造释放能量的环境和引导其达到规定的目标。按照现代激励手段的做法,应是强调正确引导,使员工满足依次递增的高层次需求,以便更有效地调动员工的积极性,达到酒店的管理目标。所以,酒店人力资源管理部门的工作人员应了解和掌握有关激励的理论和方法,把员工激励作为人力资源管理的日常工作业务的环节之一,开发人力资源的工作目标才能得到落实。文章就如何运用激励原理来起到调动员工积极性,最终达到增强酒店凝聚力、竞争力的目的提出建议。

The core of modern management theory is incentive principle, which refers to the psychological process of a certain motivation stimulating people have a certain built-in momentum towards some goal. The application of incentive principle in the hotel industry is to understand how to crate an environment of energy releasing for the employees and lead them
to reach the established goals. According to practices of modern motivate method, people should focus on correct guidance so as to meet the increasing demand to high-level requirements of the staff in order to more effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of the staff to reach management objectives of the hotel. Therefore, the staff in hotel human resources management department should understand and master the theory and method related incentive principle, taking staff-encouraging as one of the routine work in human resources management. So the job objectives of human resources management can be carried out. This essay discussed how to use Incentive principle to mobilize the enthusiasm of the staff and finally to reach the goal of enhancing the hotel’s cohesion, competitiveness.
