记得多少年前，家门前的小河是那么清澈，犹如一块碧绿的翡翠。河里，鱼虾快活地游动；岸边，人们愉快地生活。人们喜欢直接饮用那干净的河水，品尝肥美的鱼虾。夏天，河里满是尽情嬉戏的人们。然而，时过境迁，一切改变了，我们的河水变黑了，河水不再清澈，鱼虾不再肥美，人们也不敢直接饮用河水。是什么原因才使得河水变化如此之大呢？人类！我们自己才是是罪魁祸首！
媒体上说，现在全球每年有600万公顷的土地沦为沙漠，2000万公顷森林在消失，平均一小时有一种物种在灭绝。由于温室效应加剧，使地球气温不断升高，随着南极冰川开始溶化，海洋平面将不断升高，世界上许多沿海城市、岛屿和大量土地，将被海水吞没。
我们多么希望头顶的天空湛蓝如镜， 我们多么希望脚下的大地绿草如茵， 我们多么希望身边的湖水清澈明净……可是，四川和玉树地震了，南方雪灾了，云南干旱了，海地海啸了，泥石流随时还会朝人们涌来，那是“地球母亲”发怒了。只因我们没有像爱母亲一样爱地球，爱护我们的家园！
俗话说得好：明日的文明，始于今日的奉献。是的，我们美好的未来，需要用我们的双手去建造！弯下腰，捡起地上的纸屑；拿起布，擦掉墙上的污迹；离开时，随手关掉电灯和风扇；关紧水龙头，不白流一滴水；多走几步，不要踩伤了小草……，一件件小事举手之劳，却为我们创造了美好的未来。
为了让大地山青水秀， 为了让家园绿树蓝天， 让我们手拉手， 一起动手，共建文明城市，绿化美丽家乡——苏州！

some years ago i remember，the river in front of my house was so clear。like a piece of green jade。inside the green jade，there were fish and prawn，beside the green jade，there were people，and both of the two sides lived a happy life.you could drink the water without steaming it.and the tasty of the prawn，which i’ll never forget.when summer came,you would see many people having fun in the river.what a nice scenery we never saw again.and let’s have a good look at what it is being today. only black and turbid water with no longer delicious fish and prawn in it.，and let alone dinking the water.have a thinking about it all，who should be blamed？and the answer is not any otherones but we human beings.
it is sad to know that every year，6 millions hectare land becomes desert and 20 millions hectare forests disappear ,every hour a species dies out from the earth forever.what's more？because of the greenhouse effect，the air temperature of the earth is going up year by year.which will put our in the danger of being submerged by the seawater by thawing the ice of south polo.at that time，we will see most of our cities in the world under seawater.
we are so wish we can always see the clear blue sky，the fresh green grassland and the limpid lakewater with sweet taste.but the truth is so disappointing.our mother land has suffered lots of terrible disasters，such as the big earthquake happened in WenChuan and YuShu，the blizzard that attacked south China，the drought in YunNan，the tsunami happend in Haiti，mud-rock flow and many others.now，human beings，can’t you feel the anger of the earth mother？have you ever been thinking about a question，why all these disasters had falled upon us？and the answer is so simple just because of we paid no attention to protecting the earth——our only homeland，which is should be loved in the way we do to our own mother.
here is an old say that the way to tomorrow's prosperous starts from today' dedication.it is true that only by our own hands can we create our beautiful future.do please bend down and pick up the garbage，take out your duster and clear the wall，shut down the switches when you leave，turn off the spigot and let no water be wasted，take just a few more walks instead of stepping on the lawn……every time you lift a finger will surely make a big difference to our beautiful future.

Long time ago,the river besides my house is limpid,like a green jadeite.There are some fishs and shrimps living there.And the people who lives ashore enjoy the life of drinking the water directly and eating the aquatic products from the river .At the summer ,some people come to here and swim.however,with the time passing ,everything is changing,the previous river turns so terrible.what happened to the river in the world? The answer is human being.
It's reported that more than six million hectares of the land turn into the desert every year over the world,and twenty million hectares of the forest are disappearing.On the average,one special extincts per hour.Because of the influence of greenhouse effects,the temperature of the earth is increasing,which lead the South Pole's iceberg to melt.then the sea level rises,some cities, island and land will be covered by the sea.
